Happy Monday!

I’m here! Oh wow, where do I start! Haha.
Well, let’s start with my dad and Jinny. They are doing good. Dad has been getting physical therapy 3 days a week and we are still waiting for the insurance to approve Jinny’s. Dad says he feels pretty good. No pain and has started doing a little driving again. As for me, I am buried a mile deep in paperwork. Scheduling doctor appointments, canceling doctor appointments. Jinny changed doctors after her fall and now she’s in a different network, so appointments with specialists have to be cancelled. I think the worst part about all of this is, my dad has gotten so forgetful and it scares me.
Okay on to other news.
I had my son’s dogs for three days while he took a short vacation. Hey wait! I don’t get a vacation. So not fair. 🙂 But I enjoyed puppy sitting even though they would wake me up at 3:30 in the morning. “Grandma, I’m scared. Can I come sleep in your room?”
They are adorable though, aren’t they?
I have been making to-do lists this past week and even though I am accomplishing quite a bit, some days I feel like I haven’t accomplished a thing. Do you have days like these?
I have been cleaning and fixing things around the house that need to be done before winter arrives, that is if we get any winter. 🙂 Painting the outside of the house; One gallon and one paintbrush at a time. And have even been cleaning windows! I actually like to clean windows. It gives you a much brighter outlook on life.
I tried my hand at some spray painting. I know that tagging is bad, but I have seen some detailed and awesome murals on the sides of trains and buildings done with just spray paint, so I decided to redo a patio table (No, no tagging on trains or buildings for me).
You can check out my other blog for what inspired me to do this.
I have been making homemade; Peanut butter, carrot juice, yogurt, carrot cake, chili, and cornbread and that’s just been the last couple of days. 🙂
I have been taking photos.
Yesterday’s sunset,
And last night’s full moon.
I have been house hunting. Don’t go getting all excited, it’s more of a dream or a fantasy. But when I win the lottery… 🙂
Heck, I even have the housewarming guest list made out and what to serve! LOL
I have been checking out hand held voice recorders. Any suggestions?
And I’ll wrap this up with, I have been writing! Yay! Well a little bit.
I changed the title of my short story book and updated the cover. (Again) Keep in mind it is still a first draft)
And I’ll post more details next week as to the stories and when it will be available.
And now I am off to tackle today’s TO-Do list. Have a great day everyone and till next time… HUGS!

I have been doing the to-do lists for as long as I can remember and my two youngest sons take after me. Crossing off those items on the list gives me a feeling of accomplishment, but I had fallen off the wagon, so to speak, and with no lists I feel as if I’m floundering around, so that’s why I am trying to get back into the habit. 🙂
Happy Tuesday, Frederick. How is your week going so far?

And happy Wednesday right back at yer! I wish I was well organised – come to think of it I wish I was organised at all. My week just got better, BTW, because I now know I am not going blind in my right eye, thanks to last night’s discovery that I had put in two contact lenses at once. Hope your week is good, especially if it involves house painting! So much to do before winter – my wife keeps using the term ‘water-tight’ – not quite sure what she means…

To Do Lists? What are those? 😉 The Gemini in me loathes “to do lists” (Venus in Gemini, that is, which gives me the love for creative writing, but my Sun is in Taurus). And although I’m certain that I’d get a heckuva lot more done if I had a to do list, that blasted Gemini in me balks at the idea. If I make one anyway (I’ve tried it a few times) the Gemini in me just makes me forget I even have a list! Go figure.

Aww Cat you are missing out on some great fun! LOL! As of today though, I’ve changed my to-do lists to goals.

OMG! Frederick. How did you do that? I am happy that you aren’t going blind. Maybe us ladies are like the ants. Always trying to get everything done before winter so we can hibernate. 🙂

And now I have this aeroplane image in my mind of long lines of ladies trooping in single file all the way to the Mall and trooping back with one bag each…..

No, no mall for me. That’s a scary place. Going to walmart and the grocery store is bad enough. Speaking of ants, they have invaded my kitchen sink this morning, once again. Two weeks ago I had a trail of ants that went from the kitchen trash, up the side of the bar, down the wall, across the floor, out the sliding door, into the den, and all the way across the den floor to the other side of the room. The good thing is they sparked an idea for a short story for my collection that I am writing.

Do you know I haven’t had an ant invasion for several years now. They are amazing creatures – I almost miss them…

Two things. Get a app for your phone instead of a voice recorder and I’m glad your family is feeling better if not perfect. My mom has issues with her memory. I’d tell her to write it down, a suggested approach from a specialist, but there is point since she never, ever looks at her notebook. 🙂

Hi Anna! Thanks for the tip! I found out that my phone already has a voice recorded! And will record 60 minutes. As for writing things down, he does and then forgets where he wrote it down. I email him all the info he needs and he prints it up and I even send a backup copy by snail mail and he forgets he got it.
