Treat everyday as a new adventure

Show Me Your Cover Welcomes Jordanna East

Please Welcome Jordanna East who is sharing her cover for

“Blood in the Past”

Blood in the Past 2

There is a pivotal scene in Blood in the Past that involves my main character, Lyla, and fire. I can’t say much more without giving anything away (wink, wink). But I knew I wanted the whole cover to be fiery. She also has a Zippo lighter that’s engraved with “Home is Where Your Story Begins.” This morphs into a sort of mantra for her, so I knew I wanted to include the Zippo. Kit Foster of http://www.kitfosterdesign.com/ came highly recommended to me from another author and he worked tirelessly until the image was just right. In turn, I highly recommend him and will most definitely use his services again in the future.

Ten Years Ago…
Jillian Atford falls for an older man, a handsome Philadelphia cop, whose mystery is that he’s married, a reality Jillian refuses to accept. Lyla Kyle finds her mother dead on the floor from an apparent suicide. She blames her philandering father and wastes no time taking her revenge. Detective Jason Brighthouse Sr. is in the wrong place at the right time to attempt to save a colleague from his burning home. When neither of them make it out alive, his teenage son can only harp on their last argument. He shoots himself in the head…with his father’s gun.
Three lives. Three deaths. One story. To understand the future, you must visit the past.
The Blood in the Past. An introductory novella to the upcoming Blood for Blood Series, coming Winter 2013.

Thank you, Jordanna for sharing your cover with us! I hope you have been having a wonderful day! I am off to see if I can comfort my poor dog Duggy, who is terrified of the fireworks. Happy Independence day everyone! Stay safe!
