Treat everyday as a new adventure

Judging a Book By Its Cover finishing up Part 3. The last cover.

Hello, hello, hello! Guess what? We only have one cover for this last post. So let’s welcome

Robert K. Blechman author of Executive Severance

Executive Severance is a send-up of the noir genre of mystery fiction and I needed a book jacket that conveyed the tension of the suspense/mystery novel while at the same time signaling that this is a parody, to be taken tongue in cheek. Designer Milo Duffin and Art Director Stephen Roxorough produced this fantastic cover based on the Twitter avatar image I created to tweet each 140 character post of the novel.

Well we ended up with a total of 16 beautiful covers from 16 wonderful authors. If you haven’t checked out the other covers in my blog series, the links are below for the featured authors. Please comment and let us know what you look for in a cover. Is it the title, or the color or just the overall design?

Wait, wait, wait! I have one last minute cover to share!

Please welcome Vonda Norwood author of “The Door On The Left”

The idea for my “The Door On The Left” book cover was mine, but it took my 16 year old daughter Katie, designing it, to make my vision come to life. 😀
The picture you see shows a scene in the story.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I plan on having a yardsale on Sunday and hopefully will get a lot of writing done, that is if I can convince my inner editor to let my muse out of the closet! 🙂 See you all on Monday. Oh and blurbs will be posted in the order received.
