Moms Are Precious
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, people have been tweeting, “What should I get mom for Mother’s Day?
I wrote a post on my website years ago about gift giving. How to pick the right gift for just about anyone.
First you need to ask yourself some questions.
Like what is their favorite color, scent, flavor?
Do they like dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or if they are like me, white chocolate?
Coffee or tea?
Reading or doing crosswords?
But sometimes the best gift to give, is the gift of your time.
Spend time with your mom.
Play cards together.
Go for a nature hike.
Laugh, cry, and talk.
Watch a movie.
What you do doesn’t really matter, what matters is that you are together.
If your mom lives far away, sit down and write her a letter. Tell her what she means to you and how thankful you are for all she taught you.
Be specific. Maybe she taught how to throw a football, or bake cookies. Tell her thank you for being your mom.
My own mom passed away June 5th, 1999 and I can’t begin to tell you how much I miss her even though we didn’t always see eye to eye. I wrote a post on my other blog a few months back about things your mother told you and you can see it here.

Remember Mom’s are special and life is short. Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there.
