WE WANT REVIEWS!
At first the title was going to be “Analyzing Reviews” Then I thought, “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Reviews. Or how about, “Leave a review after the end of the book…BEEEEEPP….
We all want reviews. We all want good reviews, but did you know that even a bad review can help sell your book?
I’m just like everyone else. I want good reviews for my books, but I also encourage people to be honest. If you didn’t like my book, tell me. Let me know why. I know not everyone is going to like what I write. That’s a given for all of us, but if you don’t tell us what we’ve done wrong, how are we supposed to learn and grow as writers?
The reason for my post today is because
Robert MacLean (find him here on twitter)
@robertmaclean had tweeted that his book was free on Amazon.

Now if you are like me, your kindle is overflowing with books to read. I get people emailing me, tweeting me, posting on my facebook page,etc. “Did you read it yet?” Did you like it?” “Was it good?” I’m going to quit telling people when I buy their book! 🙂
(I will read it or I wouldn’t have bought it, just give me a little more time, please?) I love to read and I will give every book I read a review)
Anyway, I clicked on the link (It’s up^^ there under his name ) for Robert’s book. I clicked like and I tweeted it for him. I wasn’t going to pick up the free copy, but then noticed that one of his reviews was a 1 star, so I had to read that review
“1.0 out of 5 stars Dumb
Really dumb…How did I get suckered into this ? Lemme know will ya. Is this her first and hopefull her las t novell?”
And just because of that dumb review, I grabbed me a copy of Robert’s book. Come on, really? The guy didn’t even know Robert was a man? Or was he just being sarcastic? Who knows…
And reverse psychology works great on me!
But he also had some good 5 star reviews like;
